About Jemima
I was born in Cameroon and moved to the United States with my family in 2009. Growing up bilingual, I developed a deep appreciation for the French language and became intentional about preserving it as I grew older. Alongside my love for language, I am a painter whose work has been featured at Dallas City Hall and in a local gallery. Through my work, I aim to continue sharing the beauty of both art and language with children, nurturing creativity, cultural awareness, and self-expression.

I have over seven years of experience working with children from infancy through 11 years old across a variety of educational and caregiving roles. My journey began as an after-school teacher in a fourth-grade classroom, then naturally evolved into babysitting and full-time nannying. Most recently, I have worked closely with infants as young as nine months old, introducing French through everyday interaction, play, music, and routine. As a private French tutor, I focus on creating a nurturing, immersive, and age-appropriate environment that supports language development while honoring each child's unique pace and personality.
