About Devansh
I'm a third-year Chemical Engineering with Environmental Engineering student at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. Having completed both the IGCSE and IB Diploma, I’m familiar with the challenges students face, particularly when it comes to subjects like Mathematics and Chemistry. My goal as a tutor is to help students build a strong foundation, enhance their problem-solving abilities, and achieve outstanding results. My Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
My teaching approach centers on building a solid foundation by thoroughly explaining core concepts before moving on to problem-solving. I first ensure that students understand the fundamental principles, then demonstrate how to tackle related questions. After they grasp the method, I have them practice solving similar problems independently, offering guidance and corrections where needed. Once they’re comfortable with the material, we progress to past papers to help them enhance both speed and accuracy. This structured method ensures a complete understanding of the subject, setting students up for exam success.
Typical Length of a Lesson:
Each lesson typically lasts about one to two hours, depending on the student’s needs and the complexity of the topic. This allows enough time to explain concepts, practice questions, and review progress.
My Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor:
As a Year 3 Chemical Engineering student at the University of Nottingham Malaysia and having completed both the IGCSE and IB Diploma, I have first-hand experience with the challenges of these exams. I achieved an A* in my IGCSE, and I use the same successful approach in my tutoring sessions. My background equips me to provide effective tutoring in both Mathematics and Chemistry.
