About Fernanda
I have a strong academic background in economics and have taken advanced university courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and applied economic analysis. This allows me to understand the material at a deeper level and explain it in a way that connects the bigger picture to the basics students are learning.
I’ve also spent years coaching sports, which has taught me patience, encouragement, and how to work with different learning styles. I create a comfortable space where students can ask questions freely and build confidence step by step.
My goal is to make learning feel manageable, clear, and supportive not stressful.

I am a 4th year Honours Economics student at McMaster University offering tutoring for high school and first- and second-year university students. I specialize in breaking down difficult economic concepts into simple, real-life examples so students truly understand the material instead of memorizing it.
Many students struggle with graphs, formulas, and abstract theory. I teach step-by-step, explain the intuition behind every concept, and focus on building confidence. Whether it’s supply and demand, elasticity, taxes, consumer theory, or exam preparation, I help students move from feeling lost to feeling in control.
