About Amarjit
I am masters level educated English teacher, with experience in teaching KS3/KS4 English Language and Literature for over 7 years. I have been working as a tutor for over 10 years and have consistently delivered excellent results for all pupils.
Students are taught in a friendly and welcoming manner in bespoke sessions that help them understand elements at a pace that is suited to them. Students are given the opportunity for regular practice of key skills that are needed to help them gain mastery level of English through effective recall and retrieval in a sequentially created curriculum that helps continually assess their proficiency needed to succeed at different stages of English students from KS3 onwards to GCSE level and beyond.

Initial consultations are conducted with students to assess the strengths and areas of development of each student, before creating individualised bespoke tutoring sessions.
Working with students on a one-to-one basis, building their strengths and improving their weaknesses to develop their subject knowledge within KS4 English Language.
Devising useful revision strategies such as using flashcards to create a glossary of important linguistic concepts and exercises for students to try at home to consolidate what they covered in school and tutoring sessions.
Regular use of effective exam techniques to help answer GCSE English Language exam questions through rigorous exam practice on a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts.
