About Martha
I am a third-year English and French student at the University of Oxford, and have been working with young people in various different capacities since I was 14!
My educational background started when I was a gymnastics coach, which not only gave me valuable experience working with people of all ages, but also equipped me with a variety of different teaching methods, and the vital knowledge that there are many, many different ways to explain ideas and concepts.
Since then, I have carried this knowledge through all of my other teaching endeavours, and firmly believe that this can be applied to all subjects.

I am a firm believer that every student is different, and therefore learns in different ways. As such, all of my sessions are tailored to the individual, bespoke needs of the students. I employ a variety of different teaching and learning methods based on individual preferences and level, so that students are able to make progress, and crucially, recognise this progress. In turn, progress helps to inspire confidence, which is equally as valuable in the learning process. It is my goal to help to instil this confidence in students, giving them tools to succeed which extend beyond those which they are equipped with in the classroom.
