Hi there! My name is João, I'm 28, and I am a Programming tutor here to help you in everything I can! With 4 years of experience as a programming teacher, I am grateful for the opportunity to have assisted over 500 students from all over the world with C, Python, C++, Java, C#, Matlab, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Solidity, etc. My main goal is to help students enhance their technical, personal, and soft skills so that they can succeed both in their academic journey and professional life.

My tuition method is adaptable to the needs and main difficulties of each student. I like above all to help students and, during this process, to create a good friendship. As I always enjoyed helping colleagues during classes, I decided to apply so I could share my knowledge with more people. My aim is to help students to enhance their technical and social skills so they are able to succeed both in their academic and professional career. Many of the students I mentor go on to work as programmers and software development professionals, with others pursuing further study and careers in teaching and research.

I recommend João to explain programming. He helped me a lot in the work that I had to deliver. He always tries to get the student to try for himself to solve the problems and when the student can't, he gives clues and explains it step by step.
Very friendly and professional at the same time. Helped me several times with a programming project.
João is a tutor you can count on! he is always concerned about his students, during class time he always finds several different ways to teach if the student is having difficulty understanding something and if any doubts arise later he is always available to clarify, which shows the concern he has with his students and that he cares about their success.
João is an excellent tutor because he lets us think and do the exercise and then corrects mistakes in a very clear way! Also is really patient.
João has a very relaxed teaching style and can adapt to anyone's learning style too.
He has great knowledge of the subjects and he's an amazing person to keep you motivated to reach your goals!

Since beginning my lessons with João I not only got up to date on the subject matter but also clearly understood hard concepts in a short time. João and I work next to each other in some days. He is extremely helpful and dedicated towards his students. I notice that he always tries to find a way to organize his schedule so that no one is left without help. I see him work, day after day, always committed to explain subjects in a simple and easy way to understand, as many times as necessary.
