About Angela
I am a professionally trained Conservatoire actor graduating from RWCMD in 2008 with a BA (Hons) in Acting. I have had many professional credits working with fantastic actors such as Kenneth Branagh, Olivia Colman, Jodie Whittaker, Amrita Acharia and Jo Martin to name just a few. Alongside this I have taught drama, audition preparation, Lamda exam preparation and voice to both children and adults. For the last three years all my students entered for their Lamda exams have gained Distinctions.

I believe in giving students a toolbox that they can then customise with their own personality to fit their needs. My main focus is to always make the sessions enjoyable. Whether that be fun and engaging games or relaxing breathing techniques to support vocal development. My teaching method changes for each student. We are all individuals and learn in different ways. I have a number of strategies to engage with to accommodate all learning styles. From mind mapping to muscle memory. The one common thread with all my teaching is that my students set themselves clear personal goals or objectives to work on in each unit of 10 lessons. This helps give a focus to the learner and a clearer sense of achievement which increases confidence.

I highly recommend Angela as a speech and drama teacher. She has taught my 7 year old for the past two years. She brings amazing creativity, positivity, quick wit and EQ to individually tailor each lesson to engage him and motivate him (virtual lessons during lockdown provided a great insight!). Much to his delight they have most recently devised a Minecraft themed warm-up!
She thoroughly prepared him for his LAMDA exams (both distinctions). She is professional, organised and an excellent communicator- providing constructive feedback on lessons and homework.
