About Griffin
Achieving a professional sound on the guitar is the primary goal for most of my students. Have you ever wondered why some players sound mechanical while others seem to breathe through their strings? We focus on reading sheet music and mastering complex strumming patterns to build your confidence and your musical vocabulary.
My 16 years of experience gigging have taught me that technical proficiency is only useful if it serves the melody. Whether you are a hobbyist or a dedicated student, we work on refining your fingerpicking and rhythm guitar until the music flows naturally. We ensure your progress is steady and your technique is polished. Together, we will build a solid foundation so that your technical ability finally matches your artistic vision.

Growing up in Lima meant that the guitar was always an extension of my own voice. I remember the weight of the instrument in my hands as I first began to translate the sounds of flamenco into my own rhythmic language. I have spent 16 years gigging in Tex-Mex and Latin pop, a journey that helped me refine my ear and my fingers. Today, I work with teens, kids, intermediate learners, and working professionals who want to move beyond basic strumming patterns.
My degree as a self-taught guitarist provides a practical, non-academic approach that keeps the process exciting. Since I have taught 159 students, I understand exactly how to balance technical electric technique with the soul of a song. I look forward to working with you to sharpen your rhythm guitar and fingerpicking skills.
