About Oscar
I am a recent graduate of Leeds Conservatoire, finishing with a first in a performance classical and jazz piano course. I currently teach private students in the Conservatoire building in Leeds City centre. As a young professional still gigging, composing, and performing in the Leeds and London music scene, I have hands-on experience of the music industry and would be happy to answer any questions you may have about what to expect for the future. I also feel this is a way to connect with my students and help them to see where music may lead as a career path.

Having had the opportunity to study with a range of teachers from different backgrounds and styles, I feel confident teaching multiple styles and approaches to learning the piano. I understand that some people learn mostly through listening and others through reading music. My lesson plans address a wide range of teaching styles and techniques specific to the student's level of playing and theory. My lessons are for everyone, I currently teach between the ages of 15 and 56 so don't be put off by age! As a recent first class graduate of a conservatoire I typically teach students and people in education and am willing to help with all sides of music, from composition and theory to performance. My lessons are usually an hour long (but this can change depending on age etc.) Please don’t hesitate to get in touch for a quote!

Great teacher.
Oscar has been teaching me jazz piano for the past year and a half. He is quite simply the best teacher I’ve ever had. I find his lessons inspiring - his joy for teaching clearly comes across in his lessons. His lessons are always well prepared and he remains patient and receptive to my learning needs.
