About Malaika
I am a first year medical student who is the first member of my family to attend university. I also have an enthusiasm for teaching as it gives me a sense of accomplishment in knowing that I can share my knowledge to help students who may need that extra bit of help to excel in their studies.

I understand GCSE English can be a difficult subject to revise, there's so many quotes, analysis, context etc., that need to be covered and each individual is different in regards to how they learn. Therefore, I will tailor my lessons according to what my students are struggling with by implementing active recall and revision in order to make lessons more interactive. A typical lesson length would be an hour. I have had experience teaching some secondary school students when I was in sixth form as well as being a peer mentor to individuals who had adversities at school. My personal achievements are some of my A* grades which I achieved during my time at school which included English. Also being the first member in my family to get accepted into medical school whilst living far from home.
