About Shivendra
I am a 2nd year undergraduate at the University of Warwick studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics. I was always driven to become an academic and have loved sharing my knowledge with others. Therefore, I view tutoring as the perfect opportunity to disseminate my knowledge and cultivate a higher appreciation for literature.
My course requires that I digest and critically analyse many challenging works with great efficiency, and it is precisely that skill, which I seek to pass on to others because I believe that these skills are fundamentally critical to thriving in the modern workplace.

English and Literature is all about structure and a framework of interpretation. I aim to teach students to identify the structure underlying particular texts using various frameworks of interpretation. This enables students to approach and understand any text they are given rather than focusing solely on the text that they have been given to read. This approach also applies to essay writing, comprehension, and creative writing.
To achieve this, my lessons typically include interactive discussions , worksheet exercises, and student presentations that help students go beyond their current work and understand the fundamental elements that constitute any great piece of writing, which will enable them to, in turn, produce great works themselves!
I have 2 years of experience in tutoring students in their secondary level of education (year 7 to GCSE) as well as more recent experience in tutoring adult learners.
I have received an A* in English and Literature at GCSE and A-Levels, as well as received two school honours for my work in English Literature.
