About Joseph
I'm Joseph, a 4th year Physics student at the University of Manchester. I'm calm and approachable by nature, and I genuinely believe that no question is too basic — the best learning happens when students feel comfortable enough to ask anything. I love Physics because of the way it explains the world from first principles, and I find real satisfaction in helping others reach that same "aha" moment. Having achieved A* grades at A-Level before going on to a Master's degree, I remember exactly what it felt like to work through these topics for the first time — which means I know where students tend to get stuck, and how to get them unstuck.

My approach:
I take a patient, methodical approach to tutoring — breaking concepts down step by step until they genuinely make sense, rather than rushing through material to tick boxes. Physics and Maths are subjects where one shaky foundation can make everything above it feel impossible, so I always make sure we're solid before moving on.
How I structure lessons:
Lessons are flexible in length — typically 1 to 1.5 hours depending on what we're working on — and fully tailored to you. We might spend a session unpicking a topic you've been stuck on, working through past paper questions, or getting ahead on upcoming content. No fixed formula; it depends on what you need that week.
Who I teach:
I tutor GCSE and A-Level students in Physics and Maths, as well as first-year university students finding the jump from A-Level tough. I'm familiar with AQA, Edexcel, and OCR exam boards, so whatever syllabus you're following, I'll know the material and what the examiners are looking for.
