About Morgan
Hi there! I'm a 4th-year Psychology student with several years of experience tutoring English to children and coaching as a certified snowboard instructor. I bring patience, creativity, and a strong understanding of how kids learn best. Whether your child needs help building reading confidence, improving their writing skills, or catching up on schoolwork, I’m here to support them in a fun, encouraging, and effective way. I tailor every lesson to the individual learner, using proven strategies from both educational psychology and hands-on teaching experience. As a tutor, I take a student-centered, supportive approach that draws on both my academic background in psychology and my hands-on experience teaching children. I specialize in helping young learners, typically in elementary or middle school to build confidence and foundational skills in reading and writing in English. My lessons are also suitable for ESL students who need extra support with grammar, comprehension, and written expression.
My teaching methods are surrounding;
Encouraging a growth mindset and building confidence through positive reinforcement

Incorporating elements of play and movement (inspired by my years as a snowboard instructor) to keep learners engaged and active

I am able to connect with children, especially those who are shy, anxious, or struggling. With my psychology training, I’m especially sensitive to how kids learn and what motivates them. I make sessions fun, supportive, and empowering so they leave feeling more confident every time.
