About Alexander
I've been passionate about Latin culture and the Spanish language since I was young. I was tutored in Spanish as a teenager by an elderly Dominican woman whom I love dearly, and that experience changed my life. At 18 yrs old, I moved to Philadelphia, PA where I spent three years founding and growing a not-for-profit, English as a Second Language organization, which still exists to this day. I specialized in teaching English to Latin immigrants and helping them to attain US citizenship.
I eventually decided that I wanted my college degree. However, instead of attending a normal university, I decided to enroll in a military academy. I am now a Cadet in my third year at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO and am double majoring in Latin Studies and History, with a minor in Spanish of course :)
In my free time, I love flying airplanes, climbing mountains, attending church on Sundays, and spoiling my Ecuadorian girlfriend.

First things first, I'm going to expect some effort in our lessons together! It is nearly impossible to learn a new language without exposure! I'm very adaptable, and can teach any concept relating to both Spanish at any level. Whether you're just beginning to learn the ABCs or you need someone to review your college-level paper, I'm your tutor!
If you don't have anything specific to work on, I have planned lessons that will conduct you to both Fluency, and later Mastery.
In my general lessons, you can expect:
- Language immersion (speaking) at the level suited to you
- Pronunciation Practice
- Reading Passages
- Key Vocab Practice
- And Latin \ North American Culture lessons!
My authority stems from my experience. I have, no kidding, met and worked with thousands of Spanish speakers, read hundreds of classical works in Spanish, and am on my way to a University degree in Spanish and Latin Culture.
