About Joyce
Hi, my name is Joyce, and I am a 4th-year medical student at the University of Cambridge. As a tutor, I specialize in maths, chemistry, and biology at GCSE and A-level.
I achieved 9 A* grades at GCSE and 3 A* grades at A-level, so I have a strong understanding of the topics covered in these exams. I have also been through the rigorous application process for medical school, which has given me valuable experience in academic writing, interview techniques, and time management.
As a tutor, I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment for my students. I understand that everyone has a different learning style and pace, so I tailor my approach to each individual's needs. I encourage active learning and provide plenty of opportunities for students to ask questions and test their understanding.
I am available for online tutoring, mainly on weekday evenings and weekends.

My approach to teaching secondary school maths and sciences is to make learning interactive, practical, and engaging, while providing customized support to each student. With this approach, I am confident that I can help students build a strong foundation in maths and sciences, while also developing their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
I try to make the subject matter relevant to the student's daily life. By showcasing how the concepts learned in maths and sciences are used in the real world, students can better understand the practical applications of what they're learning.
In addition, I like to provide regular feedback and assessments: Regular feedback and assessments are essential to track the student's progress and identify areas where they need additional support. This approach helps students build their confidence and motivation to keep learning.
