About Amira

Hi! I’m Amira — a 4th year medical student at UCL with a First Class BSc in Cardiovascular Science and a deep passion for teaching. I specialise in GCSE Maths, Biology, and Chemistry, and I’ve worked with students from a range of abilities and backgrounds. My teaching style is warm, structured, and student-led — I break down difficult topics into digestible parts, encourage questions, and focus on building genuine confidence, not just memorisation. Whether you're aiming for a top grade or just trying to pass, I’ll meet you where you’re at. I also have extensive experience working with children in educational and care settings, including as a nursery assistant, science club leader, and welfare officer — so I’m well-versed in creating safe, motivating, and engaging learning environments. I’m currently offering online or in-person tutoring on weekends and select weekday evenings. Let’s unlock your potential, one step at a time!

About the lesson

I specialise in GCSE Maths, Biology, and Chemistry — foundation and higher tier — and offer support with exam technique, study planning, and building subject confidence. I tailor my teaching style to each student, building confidence, clarity, and a deep understanding of core concepts — not just memorisation.
