About Sonja
Hi! I'm Sonja, a Grade 11 student, competitive national team athlete, and experienced pianist.
I have completed ABRSM Grade 8 Piano and ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory (Distinction), and I have been playing piano for over 10 years. Through both music and high-performance sports, I have developed strong discipline, time management, and effective practice habits.
I specialize in piano practice coaching (陪练), helping students stay focused, build confidence, and make consistent progress between lessons. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students can develop both musical skills and independence.

My sessions focus on guided practice rather than formal piano instruction.
I help students:
• Review pieces assigned by their teacher
• Improve note reading and rhythm accuracy
• Develop effective practice strategies
• Build confidence and performance skills
• Prepare for lessons, recitals, and examinations
• Stay motivated and accountable throughout the week
I work best with beginner and intermediate students, especially children who benefit from extra structure and support during practice.
Each session is tailored to the student's goals and may include warm-ups, problem-solving difficult passages, practice planning, and goal setting. I believe that consistent, thoughtful practice is the key to long-term success at the piano.
