In our sessions, she didn’t just show me how to structure a paragraph or fix grammar mistakes. She inspired me to express myself more confidently and to enjoy the process of languages. Johanna has been a kind, patient and enthusiastic French teacher. She tailors her lessons to the interests of her students, which has really helped my motivation and confidence. She is very encouraging and her love of language is truly infectious so you can really enjoy the journey of learning. As someone who is trilingual, Johanna appreciates and can draw out the similarities and quirks between languages to make for very effective lessons.

Johanna knows very well how to explain the difficulties of the language and to make them easy to understand. Her enthusiasm is contagious and so her lessons are very interesting and fun.

Jo really helped me get to grips with it and even made me fall in love with Spanish! I can't recommend her highly enough — great at explaining things, interesting to talk to and very professional.

Johanna has been teaching my little boy French for the past few months, both in a group setting and solo, and his vocabulary and confidence has come on in leaps and bounds. She weaves in fun songs and games to help embed learning and according to him, is "very kind and patient"!. Definitely recommend as a tutor :)
