About Celina
I am an accomplished violinist, writer, and native French speaker. From the age of 5, I have followed a passionate, rigorous path through young artist programs at the Cleveland Institute of Music (and prestigious summer festivals) and have obtained high ranking awards and scholarships. I hold a deep love for performing as a soloist, chamber musician, and leader in orchestra, which has led me around the world. Currently, I am studying at the New England Conservatory under the Presidential Scholarship. I have always been honored to be a part of nurturing and guiding any student's individual voice! In terms of English, I have been placed in high level classes throughout my school years. In sophomore year of high school, I reached top college level writing. Also in high school, a couple of my pieces were officially published. At NEC, I have kept high grades for my writings in demanding Liberal Arts classes, and my work has been described as being at a “late masters/doctoral level.” I have had several years of teaching/tutoring experience in music and English (as well as French). I’d be happy to lend a hand with any essays, test prep, reading, and analyses!

I have been teaching for several years now, especially violin (of varying levels and ages). Through this, I have been so grateful to find an ultimate creativity in helping each student individually find their learning style and voice, no matter how long it takes to make some things click. Rather than following the same strict methods with everyone, I find it extremely important to pay close attention to each student’s character, and how their mind works. Patience, dedication, close attention to detail, cefficiency, long periods of focus, creativity, effective communication, and an undying desire to keep learning have all been engrained within me on my journey (especially as a musician). Such qualities definitely factor into my teaching style, creating a captivating, open-minded, nurturing, as well as challenging, space!
