About Ashman
I am an Accounting diploma graduate from Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) with formal tutoring experience in the field. As a peer tutor at KPU, I had the opportunity to support students in a variety of accounting courses, helping them grasp key concepts in financial and managerial accounting, tax, and audit. Over the past few semesters, I’ve worked with diverse learners—both one-on-one and in small groups—helping them gain confidence in foundational and advanced accounting topics.

In my lessons, I focus on building a strong foundation by first understanding how each student thinks. I believe learning becomes more effective when it's interactive and paced according to the student’s needs. I don’t just explain concepts—I ask questions, use relatable scenarios, and encourage students to think critically so they can truly understand why something works, not just how to do it.
Once the student is comfortable with the concept, we move on to solving problems—from simple examples to more challenging ones. Rather than giving ready-made answers, I guide students step by step so they learn to approach questions with confidence. The goal of every lesson is to make students independent learners who can tackle new problems on their own.
Whether you’re struggling with debits and credits, adjusting entries, or understanding financial statements, I can help you break it down in a way that actually makes sense.
