About Rayna
Hi! I’m Rayna, a second-year Accounting and Finance student at the University of Birmingham with a strong academic background. I achieved high grades at GCSE and A-level, and I’ve spent the past year tutoring and mentoring students—an experience that genuinely strengthened my passion for teaching. I want to teach because I know what it feels like to want to do well but not always know where to start. Having someone patient, supportive, and clear makes a huge difference. Helping students reach that moment when everything “clicks” is something I really enjoy. Seeing their confidence grow, sometimes faster than they realise, is the best part of tutoring for me. I believe every student has the ability to succeed with the right guidance, and my goal is to create a comfortable, encouraging space where you can ask questions, make progress, and feel proud of your achievements. I’m here to support you, challenge you, and help you reach your potential step by step.

My tutoring approach is friendly, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into simple steps, using examples, practice questions, and personalised revision resources and trackers. My lessons typically last 60 minutes, with a balance of teaching, guided practice, and feedback. I have one year of tutoring and mentoring experience, including creating tailored revision materials and supporting GCSE students weekly. Alongside this, my strong academic background—GCSE Grade 8 Maths, Grade 9 English, Grade 7 Business Studies, A-level A* in Maths and A in Business Studies, and an Accounting & Finance degree in progress—lets me confidently teach content and exam techniques. My lessons are ideal for GCSE students of all abilities. I aim to create a supportive, motivating environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and proud of their progress. I am fully flexible and keen to prioritise my tutoring as I have a passion for helping others to learn!
