About Hannah
I’m a guitar tutor with 6 years of experience and a BM in World Music focused on Guitar Traditions. My background lets me blend global musical concepts with the power and precision of metal and shred. I love helping students understand both the cultural depth of the instrument and the raw energy it can produce. My lessons are structured but still flexible. I teach young learners who want to play fast and adults who want to push past plateaus. Speed-building, alternate picking, and complex progressive phrasing are core parts of my approach. We also work on accuracy and tone control. I break techniques into small steps so students never feel overwhelmed. Some days we work on theory. Other days we dive into advanced shred drills that feel like a workout. I also teach how to practice effectively. It’s a big part of growing fast. My goal is to help you play with confidence and power. If you want a mix of academic grounding and explosive technique, I’m here to guide you.

My teaching approach for guitar focuses on helping you understand both the musical and mechanical sides of playing. I guide you through technique, timing, and tone in a way that feels simple and encouraging. We explore chords, riffs, and melodic playing while also learning how your guitar works on the inside. I introduce topics like string changing, basic setups, and how to keep your instrument in good health. You will learn what different pickups do and how effects pedals shape sound. My lessons mix practice and discovery so you grow more confident each week. I work especially well with learners who enjoy relaxed playing and meaningful progress. Some students want to play around the campfire, and I help them sound natural and smooth. Others want to lead music in community spaces, and I support them in becoming steady and expressive players. We take time to explore tone settings so you understand what suits your style. I make sure every concept is clear before moving on. Your questions are always welcome. My goal is to prepare you not just to play guitar, but to care for it properly. Together, we will master your sound from the strings to the speakers.
