About Jaimie
I graduated with a BA in Acting at City Varsity Cape Town in 2017 and since then I have been a freelance actress/perfomer. I have worked in training and directing a large high school drama group for their ATKV competiton, where I obtained a silver certificate for directing as well as offer my help one-on-one with student when deciding which pieces to perform and preparing with their lines for things such as their final drama practicles.

My teaching methods include me learning your work with you essentially, as it is new to us both. I'll start with text analysis. We will the cross examine each others analysis of the same text and discuss it. I then provide students with a 'plan' in regards to how we will tackle the physical and emotional performance of the piece. We will do character analysis/ breakdown as well as investigate the emotional state of the character. We will then break the text down line by line and decide on the emotional thread for each, as it connects and joins as one e.g 'monologue' and a holistically truthful performance. Prepartion is everything.
As theatre practitioner Stanislavski said 'an actor prepares'.
