About Richard
I am a friendly and positive individual who always puts the needs of my students first.
I have a Masters degree from RADA and BA (Hons) from Drama Centre, where I trained.
I have a teaching qualification in Performing Arts (PGCLTHE) from Rose Bruford Conservatoire of Theatre and Performance.
I was Course Director at Italia Conti and External Examiner for Trinity Laban .
I am currently working at Identity and Bird College.
I have over 30 years experience as an acting teacher, course leader and as a writer, director and actor. I have run some of the UK's top drama schools so am extremely well placed to help you nail an audition, get into drama school or succeed in your LAMDA examinations.
I can help you select audition material and/ or coach you to the required entry level.

I suit my approach to the individual always ensuring sessions are engaging, exciting and meet their needs as an actor.
I take a highly practical approach to teaching acting which allows students to make excellent progress whilst having fun.
My approach to actor training incorporates Stanislavski, Uta Hagen and Meisner, amount others, and encourages close textual analysis and bold acting choices using the actor’s imagination and own lived in experiences.
I encourage and aim for naturalistic performances, that are nuanced and truthful.
