About Felix
I am an active touring performer, primarily with my band "Skram", and have plenty of recording studio experience, as a guitarist, bassist, a producer, and recording engineer. I have been playing since 2004, completed a bachelor in applied arts majoring in music in 2013, and have been teaching since 2014. I am experienced in multiple genres and techniques, have experience performing and recording in rock, jazz, blues, R&B, pop, metal, tech death, and many others. I am friendly, open-minded, like to have a good laugh, but focused and compassionate, also neurodivergent and LGBTQ+.

Kia Ora! My mission is to help you to pursue and achieve whatever you desire to, on electric guitar, acoustic guitar, or bass guitar. In our first lesson, we will discuss any previous experience, what drew you to playing the guitar, and anything you wish to achieve through taking lessons. We will identify a goal and start working towards achieving that goal. I have used this process with hundreds of students throughout the years, ages 5-80, and found great success. We will learn a variety of common chords, techniques, scales, theory, and best practices. Work through and learn songs that exemplify and demonstrate these concepts, and apply them to either a recorded or performing situation.

Felix is the best music tutor you’ll find, with the patience to put even the most shy student at ease. Our son Jack has really relaxed and come a long way with Felix’s help. Just the right amount of learning and fun to keep lessons enjoyable.
Felix is a great teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to percussion, and yet he’s able to break things down to the correct level for me very effectively. I always feel challenged but not overwhelmed after a lesson with Felix. Highly recommended!
