About Michelle
Hello! I am a certified, career educator holding a BS in Education and an MA in Biology. My professional background uniquely bridges the gap between advanced scientific expertise and decades of personalized teaching. Early in my career, I spent 7 years as a researcher at the world-renowned Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, where I specialized in mathematical modeling, statistical simulations, and quantitative data analysis and mastered technical scientific communication.
Driven by my passion for education, I transitioned my focus to personalized learning. For nearly 15 years, I specialized in 1-on-1 and small-group school tutoring, tailoring curricula to individual student needs. I then brought this deep expertise into the digital space, spending the last 6+ years teaching thousands of online immersion classes to a global audience.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an advanced ESL (English as a Second Language) course specifically tailored for international professionals, researchers, and university students. I do not teach general Biology or Mathematics content; instead, I coach non-native English speakers on how to accurately communicate data, write scientific papers, and confidently present statistical modeling and quantitative research in English.
Whether you are a university student, a data analyst, or an adult professional navigating the global scientific community, I provide precise, elite coaching tailored to your professional objectives.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
WHAT I OFFER FOR ADULTS & ACADEMICS:
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Publishing research, presenting at international conferences, or explaining complex data models requires a flawless command of Academic English. Drawing from my 7 years of quantitative research at the Smithsonian, I will help you:
* Master technical, field-specific vocabulary and terminology
* Refine and polish your scientific writing and research papers
* Interpret and explain data graphs and statistical trends smoothly
* Confidently deliver professional presentations and thesis defenses
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
MY TEACHING STYLE:
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
* PERSONALIZED & COLLABORATIVE: I design and tailor every lesson to support your unique career goals and professional curriculum.
* STRUCTURED YET ENCOURAGING: With decades of experience across academic institutions and 1-on-1 coaching, I provide a highly effective, supportive environment.
* RESULTS-DRIVEN: We focus on practical, real-world skills to unlock your full professional potential. Let's work together!
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
NOTE ON THE FREE TRIAL LESSON:
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
My complimentary first session is a 30-minute consultation and technical assessment. We will use this time to evaluate your current proficiency level, discuss your specific academic or professional goals, and outline a tailored curriculum plan for our future paid lessons together.
