About Nikolai
I am an experienced drum tutor with over 17 years of teaching college students who want to strengthen their rhythm, timing, and coordination. My lessons focus on clarity, creativity, and consistent growth. My teaching style is student-centered and practical. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning pace and musical goals. I guide students as a mentor, helping them build confidence step by step.
I use innovative techniques such as rhythm breakdown exercises, groove-building drills, and tempo accuracy practice. I also include guided improvisation to develop musical creativity. Along with drums, I also teach music theory basics, rhythm counting, and performance preparation. My goal is to develop confident, creative, and disciplined drummers.
