About Leah

I am currently advancing my studies in aerospace and mechanical engineering, a path that has deepened my understanding and passion for mathematics. My academic journey, bolstered by practical engineering experiences, has equipped me with not only advanced mathematical skills but also a unique approach to teaching that bridges the gap between theory and practice.

My commitment to excellence is reflected in my meticulous attention to detail, both in solving complex mathematical problems and in crafting clear, understandable, and engaging lesson plans. I believe that confidence in mathematics begins with a solid foundation and a supportive learning environment. As your tutor, I am dedicated to providing a structured and encouraging space where questions are welcomed, and challenges are seen as stepping stones to mastery.

My professional approach is centered on clarity, patience, and continuous feedback, ensuring that each student feels heard, understood, and valued. By choosing me as your tutor, you're not just getting a guide for your mathematical journey; you're gaining a mentor who is invested in your academic growth and success.

About the lesson

As an aerospace/mechanical engineering student, I bring a unique, practical perspective to tutoring middle and high school mathematics, including algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, and trigonometry. My teaching method emphasizes understanding concepts through real-world applications, ensuring students not only learn mathematical formulas but also grasp their practical uses, especially in engineering contexts. In a typical lesson, I begin with a brief overview of the day's topic, followed by interactive problem-solving sessions that engage students and foster a deeper understanding. What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to relate complex mathematical concepts to everyday life and engineering challenges, making the learning process more relevant and exciting for students. My lessons are specifically designed for students who aim to strengthen their math skills, whether they are struggling with basic concepts or seeking to excel in advanced topics. By providing personalized attention and tailored lesson plans, I help students build confidence and achieve academic success in mathematics.
