About Stuart
Hello, my name is Stuart Bernath. I won my first orchestral composition prize with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra when I was 11. I decided to dedicate my life to Classical piano then. I went on to win the Whelan Scholarship of $10k per year to go to Millikin University, which has an excellent music school. While there, I excelled with a 3.78 GPA, was a finalist in the Hollis Prize, and was nominated for Pi Kappa Lambda. After graduating, I went on to study with the internationally renowned concert pianist Jon McIntyre at U.M.K.C., winning a fellowship to do so. There, I received a 3.79 GPA. All in all, I have won over $80k in music scholarships. I worked at a couple of churches for around 12 years, the last one was over 6 years working on a $1.1 million pipe organ. I have five years of piano teaching experience.

I teach to the student's interests and favorite genres, so the student is focused and driven to learn. With my five year's piano teaching experience, Master's degree with a world renowned concert pianist, and two semesters of piano pedagogy, I am confident I have the skills to develop musicianship and mastery in my students.
