About Josh
Hi, I'm Josh! I’m a friendly and enthusiastic postgraduate student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland who loves teaching to help others enjoy music as much as I do! I’ve been playing the violin for over fifteen years, and teaching for over five years, including both complete beginners and experienced musicians. Since moving to Glasgow, I have played alongside some of Scotland's leading ensembles, including the RSNO, Scottish Ensemble, and Dunedin Consort.
Alongside the violin, I also play the viola, piano and trumpet, and have a keen interest in music theory; all to Grade 8 standard. Before that, I sang with the Trinity Boys Choir, performing in prestigious venues across the UK and Europe, and recording at Abbey Road for major film soundtracks.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on your skills, I’d love to help you grow in confidence and find real joy in making music!

Hi! I'm currently a postgraduate student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, offering affordable violin and viola lessons to people of all ages up to Grade 8+ standard. I love figuring out how to tailor my lessons to each individual to help achieve their goals best, whether that be improving just to play for fun, or delving into more technical work and wider musicianship. A typical lesson length would be between 30-60 minutes, but I am always willing to be flexible! I enjoy teaching all ages and abilities, and I look forward to hearing from you to organise our first sessions!
