About Zain

Hi my name is Zain and I’m an Aerospace Engineering degree apprentice at the world’s largest commercial aviation company, Airbus!

When I’m not in the office or on the rugby pitch, I help GCSE and A-Level students master Maths and Science. Whether your goal is pushing for Grades 8/9 (A*) or building confidence in the core basics, I adapt my approach to every student's learning style.

Having experienced the power of 1-to-1 tutoring firsthand, I know exactly what it takes to transform a student's confidence and results.

Back in Year 10, I hit a massive academic wall, struggling to keep up in class and stuck around grades 4 and 5 in Maths and Science. Everything changed when I got a tutor who gave me personalised breakdowns, structured exam techniques, and tailored support.

That guidance acted as the ultimate catalyst for my development: I completely turned my trajectory around, achieving grade 9s in my GCSE Sciences and Maths, an A* at A-Level, and ultimately securing my Aerospace Engineering Apprenticeship!

I still use those exact problem-solving methods in my engineering career today. My goal as a tutor is to pass those same high-impact strategies onto my students, taking them step-by-step from feeling stuck to achieving top-tier grades with confidence!

About the lesson

Rather than just memorising formulae, my lessons apply a real-world Engineering Problem-Solving Method: we break complex concepts down to their core principles, tackle exam technique step-by-step, and practise past papers (AQA, Edexcel, OCR) until answering them becomes second nature.

Lessons are typically online and last for 1-1.5 hours. Feel free to send me a message about your goals and we can decide how to hit your targets together!

Zain helped me through A level maths at a time when I was really struggling. His teaching method helps breaks down the concept which allowed me to understand the topic much better. Zain would then use the remainder of the time guiding me through applying what I have learnt in exam style scenarios. Zains’ learning style helped me go from a C-A* in just 3 months and I could not recommend him enough!

I know Zain personally and I really recommend him. He is extremely patient and clear with his teaching and he makes relevant adaptions to suit your learning style. He knows when to step in and when to give you space to learn independently, which really helps build confidence. Zain genuinely cares about his students’ progress and always explains things in a calm, supportive way - making even difficult topics feel more manageable.
