About Maisieanne
I have played traditional Irish music since forever, playing several instruments and winning many competitions, music is a huge part of my life. I started the banjo at age 9 and have carried on ever since, playing in sessions and gaining better technique along the way

My teaching method really depends on the individual. Whether they better learn auditory or visually, ensuring that they can alternate and learn a tune both ways is a skill in its self. I enjoy a “call and response” for a beginner and intermediate as it’s much easier to retain and grasp quicker, it also enables a working together skill that is vital when playing with other musicians
