About Ghias
I have almost a decade and a half experience of being a student as well as a teacher of anthropology and the social sciences. Teaching has enabled me to disseminate information as well as learn from my students. Being able to effectively communicate abstract ideas is the greatest skill in teaching and I continuously strive to better myself in that skill.
I value the social sciences and have been eager to explore its connections with psychology and sociology.
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Anthropology and Sociology at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.

Open to teaching:-
1. A Level anthropology, sociology, and psychology students,
2. Undergraduate anthropology and sociology students,
3. Postgraduate anthropology students.
4. I am also happy to taken lesson in IELTS or TOEFL academic exams as I have cleared them both a few times over the previous years.
Teaching approach:
- I believe in a problem centred approach enabling students to critically engage with their readings and connect them to their daily life.
- As writing tends to be central to most social science literature, I focus on instilling writing exercises as an integral part of lessons.
- For some students, I will be available to provide specific feedback on assignments.
Schedule and timings:-
- I tend to teach for an hour as it is just about the right time to stretch student's attention spans. However, depending on the task at hand the class length can vary. Class timings can be scheduled depending on our initial conversation.
Previous experience:
- I have taught at university level for six years. Furthermore, I have tutored for the past four years.
