About Gerri
I love people, and I am dedicated to providing a platform to explore the social sciences from a global perspective. I have taught AP Human Geography since 2015, African American Studies since 2017, and AP African American Studies since 2023. I hold a bachelor's in Anthropology with a focus in Marketing, which has given me an interesting perspective on the world. I love to travel, and I love to provide traveling opportunities for my students all over the world. I think the best way to learn is experience. I look forward to getting to know you and help you with your future academic successes.

I meet students where they are, then pull them to where they need to be! I am a fun, personable person interested in understanding who my students are so that I can make what they need to learn tangible to them. I teach students what they need to know, not just for tests, but for success beyond the class. Critical thinking, study skills, and effective research strategies are the long-term focus of my teachings. I encourage students to ask as many questions as they can to ensure understanding of the focused topic.
