About Maria
Hi, I’m Maria — a fully qualified secondary school Geography teacher with a passion for helping students succeed. My passion has always been geography and I thought how amazing would it be to pass that passion onto the next generation. I am currently the curriculum leader for geography in a school in the NW of England. I have recently worked as an AQA examiner, marking GCSE Geography paper 3 in summer 2025 as well as papers 1 & 2 in previous summers. This experience means I don’t just know the curriculum — I know exactly how it’s assessed. I understand what examiners are looking for, and I use that insight to guide students towards better exam technique, clearer writing, and higher marks. I take pride in delivering focused, supportive, and professional tutoring. My lessons are bespoke and tailored to each student’s needs, helping them break down complex topics, improve their confidence, and tackle exam questions with clarity and structure. Whether your child is aiming for a Grade 9 or working towards a secure pass, they’ll receive clear guidance, patient support, and high-quality teaching in every session.

Bespoke lessons catered to your individual needs, whether that be exam question practice for extended answers, case study details or mathematical problems. Lessons will last one hour and availability is on weekday evenings and weekend mornings.
