About Catherine
Hello! My name is Catherine. Passionate about history and combining experience in the world of fashion, I started to teach fashion history at a fashion school in Istanbul 3 years ago. Following the enthusiasm I met, I decided to share my passion with you.
I am an entrepreneur specialising in marketing and communication for fashion, arts and culture players.
I am also a French teacher at the French Institute in Istanbul and a lecturer in a fashion school in Istanbul where I teach several topics as Fashion History, marketing, communication and branding in Bachelor and MBA programs.
My experience is essentially international. I have been living in Moscow for 7 years where I have been working as marketing and communication manager. I have been living in Istanbul for 6 years where I have been working for several brands before setting up my own business.

Together we will analyze the different styles of clothing and costumes throughout the ages from Antiquity to the present day. We will try to establish a link between the economic, political, social and religious context, the perception of the body and the way of dressing. And we will see how designers have been inspired by the different historical periods, from the Egypt of the Pharaohs through the Versailles court of Louis XIV, the influence of Marie-Antoinette and the appearance of the first designers. A rich and exciting program allowing you to analyze the Fashion Weeks shows and to recognize the historical and cultural references in your favorite films and series!
