About Rosie
Hi, my name is Rosie and I'm a qualified high school English teacher. I have a BA in English and American Literature from the University of Warwick and a PGCE in English Secondary teaching from the University of Sussex. I am currently an Assistant Curriculum Leader of English and I have over 12 years' experience teaching KS3-5. I specialise in teaching GCSE and A-level English Literature and Language to the AQA specifications. I am an examiner for GCSE Literature and A-level Language, giving me insight into the mark schemes and exam technique. I am highly experienced in adaptive teaching to support those who need it and stretch those who want to be challenged. At the start of my career, I taught TEFL for one year in Indonesia. I love to read and am passionate about teaching textual analysis, creative writing and essay skills; am particularly skilled in helping students craft high-quality extended responses. Having been a sixth form form tutor for a number of years, I can offer support with writing standout personal statements for university and college applications.
