About Laraine
I have a Ph.D. in English Education, a master's degree in American Studies, and a bachelor's degree in both English and history. I have taught for over 22 years in various settings and institutions, in the US and abroad. I have worked with students with ADHD, trauma, dyslexia at the secondary and university level. Over the years, I have won many awards for my writing and teaching, including Teacher of the Year at my current university. I am an avid reader, writer and traveler, who loves to talk about literature and writing.

I have been teaching English for over 22 years to high school students with ADHD; students in the foster care system ; adults obtaining their GED; and university undergraduate and graduates. I have been award many teaching awards, including Teacher of the Year at my current university - twice. I am well versed in different learning styles, readiness levels, and content. I have also worked with students abroad.
