Jaya is one of our best Esol tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Jaya

I have twelve years of ESL teaching experience: Australia (Adelaide, Darwin, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast, 2019–2026), and before this, five years overseas in Taiwan, Thailand, and the UAE - my students have been from kindergarten age through to elderly adults, taught in schools and private lessons — both online and in-person. I continue to teach privately via Zoom calls (webcam, online) to both international and local Australian students, helping them progress steadily or quickly depending on their dedication.

If you think I could be a great fit for you, BOOK YOUR FREE 30-minute ASSESSMENT and TO DISCUSS CLASS AVAILABILITY HERE:

For 2026, I am available for Zoom lessons throughout the week — your appointments must be booked - contact me now to secure your placement.

About the lesson

MY METHODOLOGY: I teach English starting with a strong foundation in phonics* so students can read, write, and speak clearly. I love focusing on conversational practice and helping students develop strong, confident reading habits. I also provide targeted support to boost confidence for IELTS tests.

BACKGROUND: I hold a TESOL III qualification (to Canadian standards) and have twelve (12) years of international teaching experience in private and vocational colleges, as well as one-on-one online tutoring via Zoom. Most recently, I completed a two-year tenure teaching ESL at a large vocational college in Brisbane, all while continuing to tutor privately online from home.

I warmly welcome inquiries for online lessons in 2026 — let’s work together to make your English learning engaging, effective, and enjoyable!

I highly recommend Jaya as a tutor. She is not only the sweetest and most punctual tutor I’ve ever met, but also an expert at explaining and making complex concepts easy to understand. Over the nearly two years we’ve worked together, Jaya has always gone the extra mile to help me achieve my goals. Her dedication and personalized attention have greatly improved my English skills, both for communication and study. I’m truly grateful for her support and highly recommend her to anyone looking to level up their English.

Jaya was my 7 years old daughter´s teacher.
Jaya invited me to join the class, in order for my daughter to practice the lessons with me the rest of the day.
It was an excellent way to learn more and better.
At the end of that period of time, my daughter was able to create and edit the text using new vocabulary and she demonstrated an understanding of grammar.
In addition to that, we could know a beautiful person. This is Jaya for us. A great person and a good teacher.
I am a teacher too, and I can recommend you Jaya.
