About Frank
I have taught English, Maths, SEN and Social Sciences since 1987 in the independent and state sectors. Thankfully over 400 students from 7-18 years have achieved fantastic results in all subjects taught and passed 11+ exams, as well as GCSEs and "A" Levels. My degree is in Social Sciences, Modern World History and Education. My 21 post-graduate qualifications are in TEFL, Advanced Teaching and Counselling. It is the extensive learning, tutoring and researching I have undertaken that has made me a gifted tutor. I am also an established author of satirical works on famous leaders. I have over 21 post-graduate qualifications and I enjoy cycling and rambling in my leisure time.

I am a specialist in SEN and I am kind, nurturing and tolerant to all students.
It is my understanding that young people learn more with a touch of humour and this is reflected in my teaching and satirical writing.
The structure of the lessons is straightforward and engaging. Firstly, I will review the main concepts and themes that were taught in the previous session and discuss any difficulties with online study and homework, undertaken by the student. Secondly, I will present the new materials and set the goals that need to be achieved. Thirdly, I will convey the key points and encourage the student to converse with me. The student will be presented with new vocabulary, grammar and talking points. Next, the student will be asked questions to help cement the fresh knowledge firmly in his mind. I will endeavour to answer any queries promptly concerning the new language to be learnt. Any corrections of speech, phonics or use of syntax will be conveyed to the student. Finally, the lesson will be completed by a short review of the content taught, a question and answer session, a reminder of the salient issues, and any homework will be set and fully explained to the student. A happy and confident learner. Job done!
