About Luke
I'm an award winning, professional actor, director and playwright with over twenty years' experience in the field. I have performed in, and had my shows seen all over the UK and am currently the Artistic Director of The Bridge House Theatre in London. I have visited a number of drama schools as a guest director/tutor or to offer workshops and tutor both online and in-person.

Each of my sessions is geared towards the wants & needs of the individual(s) in the class. In the first session we will explore what they want to achieve and set out some ways to do that. I work at a pace dictated by the student, never hurrying or rushing them, but, simultaneously, my work as a director means I'm also strong at working to a deadline. I specialise in working with text, and have had success working with drama school applicants on monologues. I'm great at breaking down intimidating texts such as Shakespeare, Restoration, Greek or other classical texts and more modern classics such as Chekhov, Ibsen, Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller etc. I also offer fun classes on: Building Character - using the clues found within a text to create a living breathing person. Audition Technique - work through the casting process with me to identify your strengths and iron out your weaknesses in the audition room. Playwriting - From the first time writer to the more advanced, we will work through what it takes to complete a compelling stage play. We will read and discuss the works of other writers and work through the creation of plot, character, setting and more to enable the student to write their own piece. Overall I'm fun and friendly and always strive for the best.

“Luke has been great with tutoring me for drama school entry. Having been to a top drama school himself and also having been on the audition panel, he has lots of knowledge about the audition process and how to approach speeches. He has really helped me learn how to break down a monologue and make it interesting. He is also very friendly and easy to get along with! Cancellation policy: If, for any reason you need to cancel a session the following will apply: Up to 24 hrs before the scheduled lesson - full fee will be charged. Between 1-3 days before the scheduled lesson - 50% of the fee will be charged unless I can arrange a replacement lesson for that slot. Over 3 days before the scheduled lesson - No fee.
