About Ashwan
I've worked as an educator in Design and Engineering for over two years, and feel confident that my empathy-driven learning strategies and "show-then-do" style of teaching can help a wide range of students to expand their creative and problem-solving abilities. Two things you should know about me - I love Design, and I love teaching it to others. If there's a problem you can't figure out or a prototype you really want to make, I will work with you to find a way. What I care most about is that you leave my lessons with a new excitement for wanting to learn more about our subject.

I am a strong believer of Problem-Based-Learning - that is, using real-world issues to contextualize engineering and design solutions. I also rely on empathy and patience as core tools of my pedagogy. A typical lesson with me will be a combination of lecture, practical application, and discussion, to emphasize the collaborative nature of a constructive learning environment. My lessons can be valuable to all age ranges, but I encourage middle-school to college age students to consider me particularly, especially those with interests in engineering or design.
