About Adam
Hello! My name is Adam and I'm a Melbourne-based classical pianist and teacher. I perform regularly as a recitalist, chamber musician and concerto soloist, and I trained at the Australian National Academy of Music and the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Some recent performance highlights include Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto with the Bendigo Symphony Orchestra, a solo debut on Australian Digital Concert Hall, and duet performances with concert pianist Garrick Ohlsson for Musica Viva Australia.

Excited about getting started or back into piano lessons but feeling a bit apprehensive? Not to worry - I'm here to meet you where you're at and provide a supportive learning environment to help you jump right in! My teaching approach draws on my many years of experience as a performer and the musical traditions passed onto me by my own excellent teachers. My students have come from all walks of life and levels of abilities, and I have loved supporting each of them on their unique musical journey. Lessons will be tailored to you, and will encompass all important aspects of musical development: building technique, uncovering and refining musical expression, choosing appropriate repertoire, etc. Let's get started!

Adam is an extremely knowledgeable musician, pianist and teacher. He always tailors the lesson to my goals focusing on musicality and technique. Adam’s very approachable and always helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
Adam is an exceptional pianist that I have seen perform many times, including some of the most virtuosic repertoire there is. He is also a great teacher who really knows music and the correct mechanics of playing the piano and can explain and demonstrate them in a very intelligent and insightful way.
I honestly don't think you could hope to find a finer musician or more informed teacher. Whether you're working on interpretation or struggling with a technical issue, Adam's will pinpoint exactly where an issue might be and how to solve it.
I highly reccomend Adam to any serious student who wants to play the piano better, either musically or in terms of technique.View more recommendations
