About Tory
I am an award-winning writer and a working teacher with years of experience helping students succeed in real classrooms. I understand how challenging writing can feel, especially when students are under pressure to perform, and I specialize in breaking things down into clear, manageable steps.
My background in both creative writing and education allows me to support a wide range of students, from those who need help improving grades to those who want to develop their voice and storytelling ability. I’m patient, direct, and focused on helping students build confidence so they can succeed on their own, not just in one assignment.

As an award-winning writer and experienced teacher, I help students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about their writing become confident and capable. Whether your student struggles with essays, organization, or simply getting started, I provide clear, step-by-step support that actually makes writing make sense.
I don’t just correct papers. I teach students how to think, structure, and express their ideas so they can succeed independently. For students interested in creative writing, I also help them find their voice and develop their storytelling skills in a way that feels exciting, not intimidating.
My sessions are supportive, practical, and tailored to each student. The goal is simple: build confidence, improve skills, and make writing something they no longer avoid.
