About Sophia
I am an undergraduate student studying Psychology at the University of Melbourne. I was born in Hong Kong and raised in Shanghai, where I studied at an international school for many years before moving to Melbourne. As a native Chinese speaker, I was able to tutor and mentor other international students struggling with Chinese in different levels - ranging from pinyin (romanization system for Chinese) to wenyanwen (Classical Chinese).

Every person has a different way of learning as well as a different schedule for learning - some like to write things down over and over, while others like to use mnemonics; some study better by revising a little bit everyday, while others do better by focusing one day a week. I would like to get to know you better and develop a co-agreed learning plan before teaching to get the most out of our time. I would also prefer to be more communicative rather than simply feeding information - the more fun the easier to learn!
