About Francisca Belén
I have a degree in Art with a mention in Theory and History of Art, and a minor in Communication. I am also a visual artist and work with mixed media. I have worked as a teaching assistant in various Art History and Visual Symbology courses, where I have obtained a high teaching qualification.
My professional goal is to make art something everyday, a conversation in cafes and bars. Art is not always something super complex and difficult to understand that speaks of the human sense. It can be something entertaining, and very funny conversations can be generated about it. I want you to lose your fear of talking about art.

The classes will be divided chronologically from the first cave remains to the avant-garde of the 20th century, understanding the fundamental aspects of each period/current/movement. Each one will take between 1 and 2 classes to cover in a general way, taking some of the most characteristic works as examples to apply this knowledge.
Finally, the student should be able to identify the artistic period of a work based on the knowledge acquired.
I like classes to flow like a conversation, and not just the teacher talking and the student taking notes. If there is any specific work that you want to review, information that you have found or comments in general, they are always welcome!
The course is History of Art at a general level. It is personalized depending on what the person needs: schoolchildren, university students, or maybe just art lovers who want to learn a little more. Leaving this course you will have expanded your technical vocabulary to comment on works of art in the most renowned museums ;)
