About Edwin
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with a focus on Classical Guitar from Texas A&M. I have participated in Masterclasses with artists such as the Beijing Guitar Duo, and Grammy Award-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux. I have performed in the Houston area with the San Jacinto College Guitar Ensemble. Performed in Corpus Christi with the A&M Guitar Ensemble, where we also participated in a guitar competition in San Antonio and placed second overall. Taught guitar at the high school level in Corpus Christi where our students also competed at UIL where they all received an overall grade of 1 which is the highest possible score earned. I am certified to teach music from grades K-12. I teach in ENGLISH and SPANISH!

I work at my student's pace to make sure they understand everything thoroughly. I have my own curriculum for teaching which includes reading standard notation; playing, reading, and counting rhythms; proper posture/ technique, and so forth. My lessons are created to fit each individual students' needs. From beginner to advanced, and all ages, my goal is to help you become the best musician you can be!

Edwin earned a Bachelors in Music Education. All while in the process he maintained a dedicated commitment to teaching students. Aside from teaching between multiple styles on guitar, he has also taught beginner level piano. Edwin would be my first recommendation to anyone looking for a private instructor.
Edwin is a wonderful teacher! He was my nephews instructor and taught him many things that he still remembers to this day. His work ethic and enthusiasm makes it a pleasure having Edwin as instructor, and I would recommend him 10 times out of 10 to anyone!!
Edwin has been teaching my daughter violin for 6 months now, and I couldn’t be happier with how much my daughter has improved!

Details
Travel rates may vary based on mileage/distance.
In person rates start at $40 plus travel for 30 minute sessions. 45 minute in person lessons start at $50 plus travel. In person hour lessons start at $65 plus travel. Online 30 minute lessons are $30, 45 minutes lessons are $40, and one hour online lessons are $50. In person rates are slightly higher due to travel expenses and if I'm required to bring any materials such as an extra guitar for the student. Students will have the option of switching to in person from online if you feel the need to. You can always increase your lesson time as well if you so choose.
