About Diego
I have been passionate about the guitar and music for the past 15 years. I started practicing the guitar at the age of 8 years old, and really committed to the instrument and started teaching myself the instrument at 10 years old.
Throughout middle school and high school, I studied Classical and Jazz guitar in my school ensembles, and learned how to read music, as well as apply music theory to my playing, with many private lessons across visiting professors from colleges and other schools.
In college I have studied with multiple instructors and professors, such as the likes of Clarence Penn, Bobby Koelble, and Per Danielsson, taking in as much influence from each of them as I could in order to become as well-rounded of a guitarist as I could be.
I have over 10+ years of extensive gigging and live experience, having performed music from middle school all the way into my adult life. When I was 16 years old, I officially started gigging with my band Jupiter Storm, and eventually started playing with another project, Atala, alongside that. I have developed extensive knowledge in the corporate gigging scene as well, as I spent 3 years gigging amidst different production companies across Orlando, Florida.
I have been giving private lessons since my sophomore year of high school, initially doing it to gain pocket change and uplift my peers in their music goals while I geared toward college. Eventually, I realized that teaching was a passion of mine, and in 3 years of my time studying through my music degree, I was a private instructor, which solidified my love for teaching and helping others realize their capabilities and passion for music. I take so much pride in seeing my students succeed, and I know that I will do everything in my power to help you achieve what you need to achieve.

- First lesson is an evaluation of current skill set and goals. I get to know who you are, what you want out of music, and what kind of learning style best suits you.
- I run a curriculum based around helping you find realistic and sustainable practice methods to help reach your goals in a timely and effective manner.
- Consistent check-ins and accountability held towards students to keep them on track and help them feel supported.
- My lessons are for people who are eager for a challenge, as I will be giving you practice assignments that will test your current capabilities while also challenging you to reflect and learn from your mistakes as you are practicing.
- You will be receiving music theory knowledge alongside your guitar lessons to maintain overall retention of what you've learned as well as how you can apply what you've learned in both visual and compositional aspects of music.
- Have goals relating to songwriting or just want someone to evaluate your compositional skills? That's something we can definitely work on together!
