About Athi-Enkosi
I recently completed my Bachelor of Social Science Degree at the University of Cape Town. I majored in both Politics and History, and I did sociology as an elective throughout my university career.
I'm also a dedicated and passionate Hip-Hop dancer and musician. I choose Hip-Hop, not only in my music but dance as well because I believe it's the best way to express yourself and allows me to be completely one with my true self. I'm at harmony with myself when I'm on stage or rehearsing, preparing for a performance.
Last year (December) I released and 8 track E.P, which was very successful on varies music platforms. The E.P performed exceptionally, with one song obtaining over 20000 downloads on Slikour on Life alone. The E.P also received critical success from my peers and other Hip-Hop and music heads, for its lyrical content and complexity.
I'm also passionate sport fan. I've played both rugby and soccer, with soccer being my favourite sport. I'm very knowledgeable about the history and tactical aspect of the game of football and I constantly follow all the major football leagues around the world.

My teaching method requires students to be very attentive and to participate during class at all times.
It's very important for a student to be well engaged in what I'm teaching and to be able to ask questions. Student engagement is very critical because not only does it show interest and attentiveness but it's also always the student to be fully engaged with what I'm teaching.
The more engaged students are, the easier it is for them to learn and follow what's going on in class. Students who engage in class are often quick to understand what the tutor is teaching. The easier it is for them to understand the course material.
Where students are confused I'll provide clarity, so it's important for students to ask questions when they don't understand. All questions should be based on the course or subject material, otherwise that takes away the focus from what I'm trying to teach. So it's essential that all questions are based on the course material, so that we don't lose track of we are doing in the course.
