About Sylvia
Hi! I’m Sylvia Chung, a Taiwanese native with a deep love for exploring cultures and connecting through language. Having travelled to over 50 cities worldwide and lived, studied, and worked in France (where I currently live!), Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, and the USA, I’ve learnt firsthand how language opens the door to truly understanding a culture — how people think, feel, and communicate. I’m fluent in English and currently learning French, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature. Teaching Chinese has always been my dream, and I’m excited to share not just the language, but also the rich stories and culture behind it. What makes my classes special? Teaching is my part-time passion — I’ve worked with learners of all ages, from children to adults. Every lesson is custom-designed by me, because I believe great teaching is all about personalisation. Everyone learns differently, so I tailor materials and methods to fit you — your goals, your pace, and your interests. Let’s make learning Chinese an inspiring and fun journey — together!

As someone who has also learnt foreign languages, I truly understand how challenging it can be. That’s why I’m here to help make your learning journey enjoyable and stress-free. I aim to create a comfortable and encouraging environment where you can fall in love with learning a new language — no pressure, just chill and have fun! What I offer: -Lessons available in 30-minute or 1-hour sessions — it’s totally up to you! -I teach speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills. -Suitable for elementary school students, high schoolers, university students, and adults.
